These episodes have the dumbest titles but episode 5 #HugeIfTrue freaking rules. Mrs. Hollingsworth is off on a lesbian yoga retreat and the 3 nerdy kids get into a JT-and-Toby-level dweeby subplot upstairs while there's alcohol, sex, and a literal fire in the rest of the house.

It's pretty similar to DJH Best Laid Plans where Yick and Arthur make plans to watch a porno called "Swamp Sex Robots" and Stephanie tries to get laid but #HugeIfTrue goes there, as they used to say.

Oh God, PoP. I can't imagine watching all of Degrassi again. That's like thousands of hours of terrible TV that I've already seen. Congrats on getting engaged, though.

Planning on watching Next Class Season 3 this week since it came out a few days ago. Season 2 wasn't terrible, Spinner was in it, but the music plots were the absolute pits. I heard there was some decent drama in the next season; we'll see about that.

There was some Degrassi trivia show where the current cast members had to play Taboo with Degrassi topics and none of them knew what Downtown Sasquatch was. RIP.

Guys, I have been forcing talking my fiance (I got engaged btw, yay) into watching Degrassi with me.  We just finished season five last night.  It's pretty much all downhill from here.

How are you guys?  It's been awhile.

Why would Emma and Spinner even get married?

I've only been able to stomach 1.5 eps so far (creepy Peter is back as a teacher? his acting career must be on fire), but I can't believe that's a thing that actually happened.

I also can't believe that Emma and Spinner haven't divorced yet.

HOLY SHIT you guys. I had to log back in because Paige and Spinner come back for the Degrassi reunion and reminisce about his boner. Even if no one ever reads this post I know I can die happy now.

Season 2 of Next Class is on Netflix this weekend (though for the first time in history, Australia got something first -- it's already aired there). Wikipedia confirms there are TWO episodes with Spinner in it so all in this world is not lost just yet. Apparently Peter recovered from his meth addiction and works in a recording studio now, which explains why he's featured in 4 episodes. I hate all of the music-related plots so I don't have very high hopes for this season.  In other news, Jake Epstein isn't dead yet.

i picked like 5 random episodes from the new batch and they're...ok? at least they freed all the 22 year olds who were stuck there, although i forget, did clare/alli/etc get an actual ending?

they're trying really hard with the social media #revamp. i like the annoying new girl who just stands next to miles high all the time. I guess she just goes to school tripping on pills every day?

I can't believe Blue Hair McLipRing is straight. either way, it was shitty of her to tell zoe after they slept together. also, the actress who plays zoe is almost as visibly uncomfortable to play gay as the dude who plays miles.

i always hate when degrassi tries to make cutesy meta drake references. 2007 was not that long ago.

The new series isn't too bad. Being freed from TeenNick and the 40+ characters that graduated, it seems like the writing has a little more breathing room. Now don't get me wrong, it's still a dumb teen edutainment show. I'm not going soft or anything. There are still numerous things wrong with it, like however the hell Snake is back as principal, and how Tristan is still the worst person ever, and how the show is now missing those bangin' Education Connection commercials.

Wow, I can't believe I actually remembered my p a word. Anyway, I'm disappointed I can't find anywhere online to make fun of the new series. Its reached a new level of poorly acted PSA.

I will say the kid who plays Hunter showed some secent acting chops playing crazy, but that guy doesn't have shit on Rick.
