The Glee Project: 109 “Generosity”

Season 1 Episode 9
Airdate: August 14, 2011

Four contestants remain. The Artie guy is the guest judge. Lindsay wins the sing-off. The challenge song is something gay and the kids have to play instruments (but not really). They are each paired off with a child from a disadvantaged school, who they will have to mentor even though none of them know anything about anything. This is Glee going for a tax write-off. In the studio, Nikki is impressed because Damian sings well for once, and hates Lindsay more than ever.

Everyone is up for a last chance recital:

    1. Alex – “His Eye Is on the Sparrow” – Civilla D. Martin
    2. Lindsay – “Defying Gravity” – Wicked
    3. Damian – “I’ve Gotta Be Me” – Sammy Davis, Jr.
    4. Samuel – “My Funny Valentine” – Babes in Arms

Ryan Murphy, who created Glee while on the toilet struggling with some Pakistani food, really likes Samuel’s singing, but considers dropping him because–you guessed it–Sam has never cried on the show. But Samuel is smart, he’s like, “Uh…I cried. Like, totally cried just the other day. You just didn’t see it.”

No one is eliminated. All four will be in the finals.

I hate this show and didn’t want to review it this week. Instead, I made this chart showing which Glee character each Glee Project contestant could replace.
